Pot luck challenge this week, anything we want! It’s been great spring weather, too. Almost summery, but not quite there yet.
(click to enlarge) I took this panorama from Chanticleer Point looking east up the Columbia Gorge for an assignment in my digital photography class. It took a tripod, four pictures, and some help from my photo editing program to stitch them together.
The resident Redtail Hawk lazily circling overhead.
The dogs get might thirsty trudging and keeping an eye on us humans all the time!
Trying out a new theme… I kind of miss the dark color of my previous one, but I like the way this one is set up. It’s kind of strange with everything in the sidebar on the opposite side – you get used to whichever side it’s on and then get lost when the lay out gets changed!
I love the Fleur de lys, they’re pretty cool. I guess its kind of fitting, since I’m taking French I in school this year.
Back in the challenge this week! I must admit that this one was pretty dang cool…
Dad practicing this week’s class material (the Beatles’ “She Loves You”) on my guitar.
Mom mixing the marinade onto the round steak for jerky.
I was kind of hoping to get a shot of my own hand(s) for the challenge, but it never really worked out… Oh well!
Despite our “freezing” and literally freezing temperatures and the snow and hail flurries we’ve been having for the last week, I think spring has finally come. Rain or shine, the frogs have been going berserk for last two and a half weeks croaking every night – so loud that we can hear them in the house, over the TV! (That’s pretty loud). The frogs this year seem relatively “tame”, compared to how they usually act. It’s nearly impossible to sneak up on one, they quit making noise as soon as they detect you and you never find them. This year, you can just waltz up as pretty as you please and they just keep croaking! One was so loud that I think it must have been under the water trough and echoing.
