All posts for the month November, 2008
I have too many good shots from yesterday and today to put into different posts, so I’m going to make a post out of all the pictures.
I still can’t get over the killer zoom our camera has.
And this cute little guy, I think he’s the one that I took pictures of eating the walnut awhile back. He’s really tame and not afraid of people.
I saw him running around it the when I happened to be looking out the living room window. He dissapeared into a hole in the tree and by the time I got outside, he was sitting on a limb, chewing a chestnut, pretty as you please.
He didn’t even bat an eye when I walked right up to the tree and stood under his limb, snapping pictures of him.
We had a spectacular sunrise this morning. All different shades of purples, reds, burgundies, and blacks.
That little blue tip that you probably can’t see is the top of Mt. Hood peeking over the trees.
I love this one.
Yesterday, we and dogs went over to the Fourteen Acre field and repaired fence. After the big rain/wind storm the other day, quite a bit was tore down, but it didn’t take too long.
“Can I go with you guys to do fence? Please, please, please?”
The dogs had a blast; running all over the field sniffing hunting for field mice, and of course, keeping a watchful eye on us humans.
After the fence was all fixed, it was time to bring the cows up from the Down Below so that they would be near the corral, so that we could catch them easily today. They don’t know it yet, but the boys are going to be walking a little stiffly for a few days…
It’s that time of year again, November is rolling around and that means two things: You’re in the house by 4:30 pm because it’s almost dark outside, and it’s time for the CMA awards. The nominees are …

This meme was emailed to me by a friend and I thought it would be fun to do. I’m tagging Linda, Kris, Shirley, and Nita.
- What was the last book you bought? The Phantom Stallion
- Name a book you have read MORE than once? The Red Thread
- Has a book ever fundamentally changed the way you see life? If yes, what was it? No
- How do you choose a book? e.g. by cover design and summary, recommendations or reviews? Title, cover design, summary
- Do you prefer fiction or non-fiction? That depends on the subject, but mostly fiction
- What’s more important in a novel – beautiful writing or a gripping plot? Either.
- Most loved/memorable character? That’s hard because I have so many favorites. I’d probably pick Jake Ely or Samantha Forster.
- Which book or books can be found on your nightstand at the moment? I actually don’t have a nightstand, but if I did, probably a couple historical fictions.
- What was the last book you read? Canyon of Bones – Richard S. Wheeler
- Have you ever given up on a book halfway in? yes, but I can’t remember the title.
